Last Friday American designer Zac Posen announced that he was shutting down his label. The charming young New Yorker who I met several times, has dressed the biggest stars on the red carpet with his chic and flamboyant Golden Hollywood era inspired gowns. Loved by royalty alike, last year, Princess Eugenie said “Yes” in a Zac Posen gown. His role as a judge on Project Runway from 2012 to 2018 made him into an American household name.
With Naomi Campbell at his fall ’15 shows finale.
“For a long time I tried to find the right partner, but as time went on… I couldn’t wait any longer. This is the right decision in this situation, these are difficult times in the entire industry…”, – he announced in an official statement.
On his Instagram account he posted a touching picture of him and his team and thanked them for their support and dedication. While we look at some of his most iconic dresses we truly hope that his talent won’t go to waste and that a big fashion house will seize the opportunity to hire him as their creative director! Either way, we are sure we have not seen the last of Zac!
